Such a nice guy! I couldn't believe he and his staff her so helpful and friendly. It's not a typical doctor to patient relationship when you go there, it's more like visiting friends and trying to figure out how to decorate your house. Plus, I got a fantastic tummy tuck! I didn't realize until after the operation that he was so OCD about his results. A true perfectionist!

Dr. Sterry and his team are amazing they were so genuine and made me feel so comfortable. They were really kind people who actually care about your experience rather than just doing it to get paid. They care about their patients and are amazing. An amazing doctor to go see.

"There Isn't a Tummy I Can't Tuck." Those were his words to my husband the day of my procedure lol. A little about me: I'm 41, petite (5'2) and on the thin side (about 100lb). I have two kids (ages 5 and 9). I had abdominal liposuction but with suboptimal results as it only made my skin loose and did nothing for my diastasis rectus. Even though I looked pretty good with clothes on, I felt self-conscious and wanted to do something about it! I researched about tummy tucks for over two years and it took about that long to convince my husband that it was the right decision for me/us. I consulted with three other surgeons before choosing Dr. Sterry. I was looking for a surgeon who was excellent with belly buttons, had an eye for placement of incision, and had loads of experience performing this procedure on all sizes of women. The TT photos on Dr. Sterry's before and after gallery were those I could relate to the most. Also, I kept going back to his gallery and staring at those tummies with awe. I just think his work is very natural. Rumor has it that he will not stop with that belly button until he is satisfied. Anyway, after my initial consult, they were moving offices and I was sort of forgotten about. However, Dr. Sterry personally called me and offered his apologies, which I very much appreciated. I am now 3.5 months post op and I'm very happy with my results. I'll summarize the months for those of you who are interested and considering doing this: 1st month: First three days were the hardest. Not having a BM (despite of taking a stool softener before and after the procedure) was worse than the actual discomfort from the procedure. I stopped the heavy-duty meds after three days and switched to Ibuprofen. Hunched and with back pain and urges to stretch my legs probably marks the first three weeks. Oh and I developed a seroma after drain came out (day 8). I had to go in at least three times to have Dr. Sterry drain it. Of course I worried about it but he didn't seem to be too concerned and assured me that my body will eventually absorb the fluid on its own, which it did. 2nd month: I started standing up straight around this time. Swelling persisted, especially in the upper abs, which I found a bit unusual and of course worried about this as well, but again, Dr. Sterry assured me that I was healing just fine. Everyone is different and for some reason, my upper abs seem to be taking it the hardest. I also stopped wearing the compression garment around week 6. Cleared for exercise too. 3rd month: Here we are! I feel good. Still some tenderness and tightness in the upper abs. Still some swelling there especially towards the end of the day, but not as much as before. Belly button looks good. Scar is slowly fading. I'm using Biocroneum (at least once a day) right after I massage the scar for about a minute. I'm very happy that I did this and I'm very happy that I chose Dr. Sterry to perform my tummy tuck. He's meticulous, professional, honest and a superb surgeon. I am posting some photos of me 3.5 months post op and I will also post some more at my 6 month mark. Good luck to all of you RS ladies and gents who are considering doing this procedure! I don't know why one is upside down. Sorry! Hi everyone, I just wanted to give a quick update. All is well here. Not much has changed. Back to working out and incorporating crunches. Scar is fading. Still some tenderness in the upper abdominal area. It's amazing how long it takes to completely heal. Our tummy takes a beating!

I have had extensive reconstruction surgery post weight loss with Dr. Sterry and I can't say enough about him. He is a great PERSON first of all. He is professional, knowledgeable, honest and has an integrity that is lacking in some other plastic surgeons. He is an artist that takes pride in his work and he is realistic about what type of results you can expect, given your individual situation. His staff is great. Friendly, supportive, personable, and they know their industry. I would recommend him highly to anyone in need of plastic or reconstructive surgery.

Dr Rose & staff are quality people. I had a facial paralysis & his work & surgery have changed my life. SO GRATEFUL- David

Dr. Rose was excellent. I had a bad laceration that required a skin graft. I have zero scaring and have regained full feeling. Dr. Rose was attentive, thorough, and warm. He had numerous follow up appointments with me and called to check in after the surgery. Dr. Rose is a kind and his bed side manner is very calming. He listened to all of my questions and provided the best care I have...

Smart lipo of chin/neck Hello Realselfers, I am 27 years old, and I've always had this double chin no matter how much weight I would lose. After doing research for over a year, I felt like lipo would be my best option. I found Dr. Sterry here on Real Self and after all the wonderful reviews I decided he would be the best doctor for me. His website is very informative, as well as his gallery of before and afters. I went in for a consultation about 3 weeks ago, Dr. Sterry and his staff were amazing. During my consultation Dr. Sterry explained everything about the procedure I was interested in, as well as the other options available. After the consult with the Doctor I filled out the paperwork, and paid for the procedure. I had my lipo done this afternoon. When I first arrived I met with Dr. Sterry, and again he explained the procedure and had me fill out additional paperwork. I decided I was going to take the Xanax & Percocet. The doctor gave me some antibiotics and 15 minutes later I was in the OR. Now the procedure itself was very tolerable. I'm the biggest baby when it comes to things like this, and honestly the pain wasn't as bad as I thought. The worst part was when they put the anesthetic in, but again very tolerable. I can't wait to see the results. I will keep updating as the days go by. If you have any questions feel free to ask. 🙂 So it's been about 3 days since I had the procedure. I'm feeling a bit sore and stiff, but nothing too crazy. I'm not seeing much of a difference just yet, I am very swollen and I have slight bruising I would upload a pic but like I said not much of difference. Been a few days and I can't say I'm that happy. I see no difference as of yet. I'm patiently waiting to see the end result. I have no pain at all, I do have some Brusing on my neck, as expected. I'll keep updating as the days go by. I haven't been updating much because I haven't had much changes yet. I have some lumps on my neck/chin and the swelling does not go away. I've been massaging my neck but the bumps still stay ..I would say the swelling gets worse. My neck is definitely slimmer but I still have fat under my chin. I had my 3 week follow up appointment with Dr. Sterry and he said the lumps should go away on their own within the next few weeks. I really didn't have much fat to begin I'm hoping for some visible results soon. Today I had my 6 week follow up appointment and so far so good. I was able to see my before pictures that were taken the day of the surgery, and there's definitely some changes. I still have swelling in the area...the bumps are slowly going away- almost all are gone. The odd sensation under there is going away, discoloration is more visible now. So far the right side is less swollen and is starting to look awesome.

Very happy with my results. I love Dr. Sterry. His staff is amazing too. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

26 y/o, Finally Getting a Defined Jawline! After lurking on RealSelf for about a year now, I've decided to get Smart Lipo on my chin/neck area. Currently 140 lbs, but even when I was at my lowest weight 110 lbs a few years ago I've always had a stubborn round face and double chin with zero jawline to speak of. I chose Dr. Sterry after seeing the amazing before/after photos on his website, and reading the rave reviews here on RS. His staff coordinated a FaceTime consultation for me, which I really appreciated since my work schedule and Long Island location hindered me from getting to Manhattan within their office hours. Just put down my security deposit today, and I'm all set for my procedure on 1/13. Super excited!!!! 🙂 Visited the office for the first time, it's located right across the street from Central Park and the Guggenheim Museum. Dr. Sterry and his staff are very warm and friendly. They don't rush you, all the steps are explained very thoroughly, and they give you a realistic idea of the results you should be expecting. "Before" pictures were taken from different angles, I signed all the consent forms, and paid the rest of my balance for the procedure. Can't believe it's only one week away now, so excited~ 😀 I cannot stress enough how fantastic Dr. Sterry and his staff are! They are impossibly caring, genuine, and professional. Shortly after I arrived, I signed off on some paperwork and was instructed to pop a Percocet. After changing into a gown and getting marked up, I received an injection of antibiotics and off we went into the surgical room. The anesthesia and cannula insertions were painless, not even uncomfortable. Best way to describe it is an odd feeling of slight pressure in the area? It was all over pretty quickly. After getting wrapped up in gauze and the compression garment, I called an Uber to take me home~ Can't wait to see the final results after recovery!!! 🙂 Three months later, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Incredibly thrilled with how much sharper my jawline looks. Photos taken of me from side angles are actually flattering, for a change! A little stiffness returned underneath my chin, but nothing crazy. Can't wait to get my official before/after photos during my next follow-up so I can share~ I came in for my final follow-up appointment yesterday, here's the before/after photo I promised~! 🙂

I love this Doctor!! I sought him out for what I can only describe as a "mid-life/post divorce makeover". He and his staff are amazing..attentive, knowledgeable, understanding and fun to be with. He is an honest, straight forward and impressive surgeon with limitless follow-ups to monitor your progress and recovery. He has created a three part treatment plan to address the areas where I would like improvement. Dr. Sterry has literally helped me to hit the reset button in my life!
