Upper Body Lift Case #9050

This 48 year old woman had massive weight loss with the help of a Lap Band (which can be seen if you look closely in the after photos).  She came to me asking for body contouring procedures.

Initially, we performed a Lower Body Lift which includes a tummy tuck, outer thigh lift, and a transverse buttock lift.  She then returned and I did an Upper Body Lift which consists of a breast lift, arm lift, and removal of excess axillary skin.  The axillary work actually contributes to the upper back rejuvenation as well.  While it isn't as effective as using an incision across the back in the bra line, it also doesn't require a scar across the back in the bra line!  This is a trade off that I have to consider with each patient to see what they really want and what will benefit them most.

While there was initially some talk about an inner thigh lift, I think the benefit from the Lower Body Lift negated the need for it.  Note for instance how the skin tone in the buttocks is improved.
