Under The Muscle Breast Augmentation Case #1164

This is a 40-year-old woman who complained that her breasts had "deflated" after giving birth to her children. She asked for them to look more youthful and fuller, without looking "fake."

We decided to perform mastopexy (breast lift) and breast augmentation in NYC in a single procedure, and we replaced her volume using silicone implants. She was very nervous about having the breast implants because she always thought they all looked phoney and that was absolutely not what she wanted.  I had to spend quite a bit of time helping her understand that in the world of breast augmentation, Size Matters!  I assured her that if we used a tastefully chosen implant she would get her volume back and still look like she had natural breasts.  A vertical mastopexy incision was used (this is typically known as a "Lollipop Breast Lift").
