Body Case #4180
Before
After

This patient had a Triplet pregnancy and wanted to try to get a "normal" belly back. She was 36 when I met her during the second trimester and she was asking me to perform a tummy tuck at the time of her C-section, but I refused.
It is my very strong belief that tummy tuck operations should NOT be combined with Cesarean Sections due to the increased risk of infection (from the uterus and amniotic fluid) as well as the inability to find anatomic landmarks that help guide a plastic surgeon to create a nice abdominal contour immediately after the baby comes out of the belly.
This woman came back to me three years later and was prepared for her makeover. I performed liposuction of the flanks and a tummy tuck at the same time.
]Her recovery was relatively uneventful and she returned to work in 3 weeks.
