Tummy Tuck Case #3450

This is a 24 year old woman who has lost 70 lbs with diet and exercise but was still not satisfied with her physique.  She came in asking for body contouring procedures that would help her to wear a bikini.  We decided to perform a tummy tuck combined with liposuction of the flank area.

I have come to refer to the tummy tuck with liposuction as the "Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich of Body Contouring Surgery".  Either one alone is good, but when we combine them together, the results are enhanced dramatically.  In my opinion, the tummy tuck makes the belly flatter, but it is the liposuction of the back that gives the patient an hourglass shape and a waistline.

In this case you can see that she not only got an improved waist, but her buttock also seems to be more protuberant.  This is a result of both the liposuction and a little weight that she gained since the operation (you can also see a little more tummy as a result of that weight gain).
