Liposuction Case #6950

This is a 38-year-old woman who told me that she had just given up trying to lose weight and get her old 25-year-old body back. She hadn't gained any weight for the past three years or so, but she couldn't seem to shake off the pounds either. About a year before coming to me, she had trialed a full series of Zerona® treatments but told me that "it didn't work at all." She asked me to give her a waistline but said she needed an affordable solution.

She had surprisingly good skin tone with no hanging tissues. I told her that I thought I could probably get her a nice result with much of the benefit of a tummy tuck but without the expense or recovery time required. It's not that I don't like performing abdominoplasties, but in THIS case (because of her good skin) I thought liposuction was a good alternative.

I performed Smartlipo liposuction of her tummy and back in my New York City OR under local anesthesia. In total we removed 2,500 cc of fatty aspirate. She had a typical recovery and was back at work in 3 days. Her postoperative photos were taken 3 months after the liposuction was performed.
