Body Case #6350

This is a 30 year old woman who came in asking for abdominal liposuction.  Upon further conversation, it became apparent that what she really wanted was improvement in her waistline.  She said she wanted to fit clothes better and be more comfortable at the beach.

By performing liposuction (in this case it was "smartlipo") of the abdomen we can certainly flatten the tummy - and we did.  However, I tell patients that if they really want to achieve a slimmer waist and actually look "skinnier", then flank liposuction is what gets them the better result.  The flanks are my favorite place to perform liposuction because I know it makes such a terrific change for 95% of the patients I see.
