Eyelid Surgery Case #1540

This is a 72 year old patient who came into our New York City office for a Facelift procedure.  She was a little timid about actually going through with the operation because she was afraid of looking "weird" after the procedure was done. In this case, a full SMAS Lamellar facelift was performed with sedation here in the privacy of our own operating room.  I have tried most of the described operations, but in my hands find that the most natural looking and durable procedure is one where we put the fat pads of the face back where they were a few years ago without pulling the skin tight.  In my opinion, these folks look the least "operated upon" and their results seem to look like them, just a few years ago. Performing a facelift this way definitely takes some time because some of the work is very tedious, but in the end I think it's worth the effort. ...So does she.
