This patient complained that her belly button was too wide and too shallow. I was able to help her improve both of these dimensions with a cosmetic umbilicoplasty (belly button surgery). It was a fun little case that I performed in my office under local anesthesia. She was pleasantly surprised at just how easy it was because she had been told she would need general anesthesia for it. In the end she was quite pleased with the outcome and likes her new belly button much better.
