This is a 24 year old woman who had a baby and says that her belly button never looked the same since. She had some stretch marks, but was not ready for a tummy tuck. I should add that at her age, and with such a slender physique I really didn't want to do a tummy tuck anyway. We decided to perform umbilicoplasty, that is cosmetic surgery for the belly button, in the office under local anesthesia. After re-arranging the tissues of the umbilicus a few times, I think I was able to create an "innie" belly button that she can be more comfortable showing off at the beach. The issue with the stretch marks remains, but I don't think there is a good treatment available for that problem to date. I have tried many lasers and other gadgets, but none of them gives a significant improvement.
