Lower Body Lift Case #9160
Before
After

This is a 54-year-old woman who lost about 100 pounds through the help of bariatric surgery. She stood at 5 feet 5 inches tall and had a weight of 177 pounds. She was proud to have lost the weight but still wanted to look better in clothing (and out). After several discussions it was clear that she wanted a lower body lift.
Her surgery was performed at New York City's Mount Sinai Hospital and took about 7 hours. The lower body lift operation is designed to sort of pull up your skin "pants" and flatten the tummy at the same time. The idea is to treat the entire torso as one aesthetic unit and attempt rejuvenation of the whole midsection at once. In this case, I performed a bit of liposuction in the saddle sack region as well as in the lower back or "flank" areas.
She tolerated the procedure very well and was back to work within about 3 weeks. She has since returned and we are planning to perform an arm lift for her as well.
