Neck Liposuction / Chin Liposuction Case #1946

This 39-year-old woman hated her double chin and asked for liposuction to enhance her facial contour. Dr. Sterry performed Smartlipo neck liposuction in his New York City office. The procedure gave her a cleaner neck line and eliminated her double chin.

This procedure uses the CO2 laser from the Smartlipo device, which is passed under the skin through 3 small pinholes behind the ears and in the chin crease. The laser melts the fat away and allows Dr. Sterry to use a very small liposuction cannula to remove the melted fat easily. The entire procedure can be done with local anesthetic only with the patient awake. However, if desired, sedation is available.

Clinical evidence demonstrates that the laser energy helps to tighten the skin under the chin and in the entire neck area during the weeks and months after the procedure is performed. This case certainly suggests the same.
